Basal Cell Carcinoma Expertise

Stanford Skin Cancer Program physicians have extensive knowledge in basal cell carcinoma diagnosis and treatment. Diagnosis is conducted utilizing the most advanced scanning and biopsy techniques available. Additionally, patients have access to both state of the art treatments as well as clinical trials based on the best current research.

Specialized basal cell carcinoma treatments include:

  • Testing of hedgehog pathway inhibitors (HPI), a new class of agents
  • Testing of smoothened inhibitors, a class of oral HPIs, for locally advanced and metastatic basal cell carcinomas
