Cancer Information Services (CIS)
Cancer Prevention and Control and the Cancer Prevention Institute of California members are actively engaged in developing resources for cancer information systems. The Cancer Prevention Institute of California outreach program provides leadership in the development of targeted health education materials. The Cancer Prevention Institute of California's Community Education Program information is disseminated through seminars, conferences, educational publications and websites.
Dr Dee West is a leader in the collaborative Cancer Information Services Partnership Program which encompasses research efforts from the University of California, San Francisco Comprehensive Cancer Center; Stanford University Cancer Center; the University of Southern California/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center; the University of California, San Diego/Moores Comprehensive Cancer Center; and the California Department of Public Health-Comprehensive Cancer Control Unit/Public Health Institute and the Cancer Prevention Institute of California. CIS and its partners seek to leverage resources and design innovative community service programs.
Community outreach is an integral part of the Stanford Prevention Research Center´s mission.
