Program researchers are using tissue microarrays (TMA) and immunodiagnostic modalities to identify protein expression patterns in lymphoid malignancies that define distinct disease subtypes. By correlating the molecular signatures of these subtypes with immunophenotypic patient data and clinical outcomes, researchers aim to establish sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic profiles.
Using these profiles will enable clinicians to more accurately assess a patient's condition and prognosis and to devise custom treatment strategies for an optimal outcome. Researchers are also evaluating the molecular signatures of these lymphoma subtypes for their potential as therapeutic targets.
