Announcing the 2008 Developmental Cancer Research Awards
in Translational and Population Sciences
The Stanford Cancer Center is pleased to announce the availability of grant funds to support the development of interdisciplinary translational and population science cancer research projects.
Through the Developmental Cancer Research Awards (DCRA) The Stanford Cancer Center seeks to stimulate the development of high-quality, multidisciplinary translational cancer research with direct application to cancer diagnosis, treatment, or care.
2008 DCRA Priorities:
•collaborations between basic scientists, clinical researchers and population researchers;
•collaborations between Stanford and NCCC investigators
•projects led by young investigators;
•innovative clinical trials and;
•projects in prostate and women’s cancers.
Through generous support from the President’s Office, John and Jill Freidenrich and the Ludwig Foundation, the Cancer Center expects to fund a number of one-year projects this year. Funds will be awarded on a competitive basis for up to $50,000 per project.
Applications are due May 15, 2008.
Stanford faculty working in highly cancer relevant areas of research are eligible to apply. Postdoctoral trainees are eligible to apply if they provide a letter of support from their sponsoring faculty preceptor and a Cancer Center member.
