Research InterestInvestigates the targets of immune responses after human allogeneic stem cell transplantation. BMT patients develop antibodies against minor histocompatibility antigens (mHA) that are associated with chronic graft-v-host disease (cGVHD) and disease remission. Current projects: investigate Ab anti-tumor mechanism, high-throughput serologic identification of novel mHA in the development of GVHD and prevention of disease relapse, and clinical trials of B cell therapeutics for cGVHD.

Research InterestOur labaratory focuses on the study of immune recognition by T and NK cells with special emphasis on graft vs host disease and graft vs tumor reactions. We utilize both murine and human systems in an effort to enhance graft vs tumor reactions while controlling graft vs host disease. We have developed bioluminescence models in collaboration with the Contag laboratory to study the trafficking of immune effector cells with a special emphasis on NK, T and regulatory T cells.

Research InterestTransplantation of defined populations of allogeneic hematopoietic cells. Specifically, the way in which hematopoietic cell grafts alter antigen specific immune responses to allo-, auto- and viral antigens. The cellular and molecular basis of resistance to engraftment of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cells.

Research InterestMy research interest is on immunotherapy of cancer. I have studies the mechanism of monoclonal antibody therapy of patients with lymphoma and am currently working on designing the next generation of engineered anti-tumor antibody based on the known mechanism to overcome resistance. I am also interested in tumor vaccine and plan to devise a novel strategy to use antibody-coated tumor cells/dendritic cells as a therpeutic vaccine.
