Peripheral T-cell lymphoma: autologous hematopoietic cell transplantation as first-line therapy.
Curr Opin Oncol. 2010; (5): 409-13
The peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCL) are a heterogeneous group of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas associated with an unfavorable prognosis compared with the B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. The PTCLs are characterized by high remission rates after frontline therapy, but relapse inevitably occurs. The impact of high-dose chemotherapy with autologous hematopoietic cell transplantation (AHCT) as early consolidation therapy will be the focus of this review.
