  • The combination of thalidomide and capecitabine in metastatic renal cell carcinoma -- is not the answer.

    Harshman LC, Li M, Srinivas S. Am J Clin Oncol. 2008; 31 (5): 417-23

Despite the introduction of newer treatment approaches in metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC), overall survival remains disappointing and further exploration of current chemotherapeutic agents for second or third-line treatment is imperative. We conducted a phase II trial to determine the efficacy and safety of the combination of thalidomide and capecitabine in mRCC.
