Stanford Cancer Survivorship Program
Cancer Survivorship starts from the time of diagnosis through post-treatment and includes individuals who experience cancer as well as family, friends, and caregivers. Stanford’s Cancer Survivorship Program helps people transition from cancer diagnosis to wellness by providing support services and evidence-based medical care, including:
- Innovative education and resources
- Comprehensive clinical care from a team of experts
- Research studies on quality of life and survivorship
Once treatment ends, we realize the cancer experience continues. The Cancer Survivorship Program includes clinic visits with nurse practitioners and physician assistants, whose expertise includes cancer care and the specific issues survivors may face years after treatment. They offer methods to maintain and promote health during the transition from cancer treatment to wellness and work in conjunction with oncologists and other team members to provide the best possible care after treatment. Anyone living with, through and beyond cancer may also participate in the Cancer Supportive Care Program’s nutrition sessions, exercise classes, workshops, support groups and a cancer survivorship lecture series.
