Awareness in Action
The Awareness in Action class exercises the mind, body and spirit in a holistic approach that will “strengthen your body and relax your mind.” Students will benefit by: strengthening major muscle groups, harnessing the power of the body’s natural “relaxation response,” practicing proven mindfulness based stress-reduction techniques to restore the balance between a strong body and a strong mind. Strength training builds lean muscle tissue and puts into motion a series of positive physiological changes that improve health, fitness, appearance and stress levels. Stress reduction helps reduce blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, digestive distress, cardiovascular disease, migraine headaches, and a host of other physical and mental ailments that impede our sense of wellness and wholeness. Join us for a unique class offering where students learn how to leverage the “feel-good” rush from exercise into a powerful catalyst for stress reduction.
