Cancer in the Family

Many people have relatives with cancer, but how much is too much?  When should you be concerned about a genetic cancer risk?  Who might benefit from genetic testing and how is it done?

This one-hour lecture will cover the basics of inherited cancer risk and the most common cancer syndromes, presented by our Cancer Center genetic counseling staff.  During the one-hour lecture, you'll learn about the basics of inherited cancer risk, the most common cancer syndromes, the genetic tests currently available, and what the future may hold for this rapidly evolving science.  No registration required, please just drop-in.  Parking passes are provided to all those attending a Cancer Supportive Care Program class at the Cancer Center.
