Music Program

Any guest visiting the Stanford Cancer Center will notice the healing presence of music throughout the building. In addition to the piano series, musicians frequent the Center, performing in the lobby, clinics and Infusion Treatment Area. The music program is part of the Cancer Supportive Care Program, whose goal is to help patients and their families cope with cancer and reinforce the healing environment of the Stanford Cancer Center.
Reller Summer Concert Series Returns
The Reller Summer Concert Series runs from June - October every year, and is held on every other Tuesday, at 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm. 2009 Reller Summer Concert Schedule. The concerts take place outdoors in the space adjacent to the patio, located behind the rear entrance of the Comprehensive Cancer Center and Lucille Packard Children's Hospital. The Reller Summer Concert Series is made possible by the generous sponsorship of Carolyn and William Reller in appreciation of Dr. Paul Fisher and Dr. Steven Chang.
Ambient Piano Series
Every Wednesday & Thursday, at 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm, listeners can enjoy talented pianists playing soothing and inspiring music from classical and new age repertories in a casual environment. Ambient Piano Series schedule for September 2009. Initiated in August 2005, the Ambient Piano Series is sponsored by Carolyn and William Reller, in honor of Dr. Paul Fisher and Dr. Steven Chang.
Music in the Clinics and ITA
To alleviate the wait for patients and their families in the clinics and ITA, harpists and guitarists hold live performances throughout the week. These performances are free and part of the Guest Services Music Program.
