Café Saluté
Café Saluté, located on the first floor near, is a family-run business operated by Maurizio and Melissa Carrubba. They will strive to exceed your expectations.
Maurizio, who was born in Sicily, landed in California by way of Calgary. His parents and brother, Giuseppe, opened Caffe Riace in mid-town Palo Alto during the summer of 1996 as a little caffe where friends could meet, grab a paper and a latte and sit on the beautiful piazza amongst the fountains, statues and olive trees. It has now grown to be Palo Alto's little piece of Italy, serving traditional Sicilian dishes the traditional family style way.
Caffe Ciao opened on the Stanford University campus in January of 2004 in the Terman Engineering building. The family and caffes are committed to buying fresh, organic meats and produce so that they may offer you the best every season. All their soups are homemade.
Melissa says they're honored to be a part of the Stanford family in the Stanford Cancer Center. Please stop by and introduce yourself. They look forward to meeting you!
