Sarcoma Cup 08 race will benefit research on a cancer in connective tissue |
Beat Sarcoma, a volunteer group that raises funds for sarcoma-specific research, invites you to participate in the Sarcoma Cup 08 sailboat race on Saturday and Sunday, June 28 and 29.
Proceeds from the race will be directed to sarcoma research at Stanford.
A mark race will be held on Saturday, and a pursuit race on Sunday. Prizes will be award to the winner of each division.
The event will include a silent charity auction, live music and refreshments.
Sarcomas are cancers in connective tissues and primarily affect young adults and children. Less than 1 percent of funding for overall cancer research is allocated to sarcoma research.
