Overview of Clinical Services for Childhood Cancers

Childhood cancers are treated at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital’s (LPCH) Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases.  Our highly trained pediatric oncologists understand the unique needs of pediatric cancer patients and their families and are also leaders in pediatric oncology research.  They work with a cross-functional team of health care providers to provide leading-edge, family-centered care for their patients.

LPCH is renowned for the treatment of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, sarcomas, leukemias and brain tumors.  Our clinical team includes pediatric oncologists and health care providers that address a child’s clinical, psychological, nutritional and social needs.

The Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases has research programs dedicated to developing new treatments for childhood cancers.  Our physicians hold leadership roles in the national clinical research consortium Children's Oncology Group (COG).   LPCH also conducts a number of trials of experimental drugs that can offer new treatment options for patients who have failed other therapies.
