Director's Message

Dear Cancer Center members,

Welcome back after the holidays.

Weekly IND Seminar Series Begins Monday, January 10, 2011, 4:30-5:30 pm
The Canary Center at Stanford for Cancer Early Detection and the Stanford Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office (CCTO) will sponsor a seven session series designed for Cancer Center members and faculty researchers in the Molecular Imaging Program at Stanford. The series is designed to cover the logistics and the process of IND (and Exploratory IND) filing, the regulatory strategy required for IND approvals, and successful communications with the FDA. Attendees will learn tools and resources from experienced regulatory professionals that are necessary for filing IND submissions with the FDA.

Topics include:
· IND regulatory environment
· Drug development planning
· Clinical and Regulatory Strategy
· IND Content: Pharmacology, Toxicology, Clinical and CMC
· Interacting with the FDA
· Logistics of IND Filing
· Stanford Regulatory Requirements

Every seminar will include case studies and an overview of available resources.
Schedule: Seven Mondays, excluding holidays, starting January 10, 2011. Sessions will start at 4:30 pm in the Clark Center Auditorium. February 14 and 28 sessions will be held at LKSC.
